 Supported Sirius Radios
Time moves very quickly in this business. Do you have an updated support list for Sirrius models? The two listed no longer exist.
I need to convert from XM to Sirius in my home as I am getting killed by there stupid pricing structure. My cars are now Sirius and my house is XM. If I convert my house to Sirius, I save $300 per year. Same company right?!!
Anyway, do you or can you support the newer SC-H1W??

 Re: Supported Sirius Radios
We would need a radio to test. If it supports RS232, then there are good odds that it could be supported. But of course no promises until one tests it. As you know, there has been very little activity re: home automation so there isn't today the volume of hand raisers for Tallus to purchase multiple hardware platforms to do testing.
Once we got the hardware, there are decent odds it will just work. If it doesn't, then we likely can mod the driver so that is would work.
If you are interested, let me know and we can go from there. Thanx for the interest.

 Re: Supported Sirius Radios
Well maybe we can work something out. I am paid up until 6/1. I will check the specs and get back to you. I could get the unit to you for some R & D. You could gift wrap it and send it back to me.

 Re: Supported Sirius Radios
David; In the interim, I want to stick with my Polk XRT12. I am sure that I can create a link for MLCom to connect to the Polk as I have the protocol. Will the TRadio app allow me to use the Polk for now? I really want to get my XM radio within the Music Lobby architecture in my scenes. I really dislike the current XM Lobby closed app.
I just need to understand the TRadio app better.

 Re: Supported Sirius Radios
Currently, TRadio is using 3 dynamically linked libraries (HDRadioComm.dll, SiriusComm.dll and XMComm.dll) to talk to some selected hardware through a special cable... While there are plans to support more types of "hardware/software radios", other projects have been given higher priorities... So unlike MLComDevice, having the protocol won't allow you to add a new "Family"...

 Re: Supported Sirius Radios
Got it - The issue I guess is that what you are supporting on the Sirius side is no longer available, replaced with new models. Maybe I will go back to the original item above and see if I can get you a device for some R & D.

 Re: Supported Sirius Radios
The other "real issue" is no handraisers asking for support of a given model (other than you ) Chicken / Egg thing for sure. I think there are better than even odds that even now the newer model will work as is. Can't validate that until hardware is available. I have a Stilletto, but I don't think that supports RS232, at least I haven't found any docs on that. I betcha it really does (does a lot) but it's an "undocumented feature". I have a car kit for the Stilletto and might give Sirius / XM a call to see if they can provide some tech details. We chose to support Sirius first as that wasn't supported at all by Cinemar. Cinemar has so much on their plate with so few resources that can code (one) that they aren't going to get to a "TRadio" in a long time, unless they read this note and reprioritize their deck just because of this note But...then something else "major" a Cinemar customer wants slips backwards... TRadio supports complete customization within MainLobby. If there were more users asking for this level of support, then Tallus would procure and test and support more hardware (including the hardware Cinemar currently "supports"). I have Russound / XMPCR / HDRadio / SCH-1 devices here already.

 Re: Supported Sirius Radios
Agree David - It is a difficult state of affairs both with you and over at Cinemar. The entire HA community is hurting with the exception of some green initiative stuff. It is difficult and costs major $$$ to get "Green Certified" which seems to be the tag word these days.
I know that they have some solid plans over at Cinemar, and you are filling the gap well, but as per the above issues, those plans get extended. The community surrounding Cinemar seems to be slipping, which is concerning. CQC looks to be strong as ever for some reason.
Back to XM - I will look into purchasing a unit. I will let you know. I have one car on Sirius, One on XM and Home on XM. If I get all on Sirius, I can save about $100/Year, which buys the unit. My one car is universal in that all I need to do is re-program the tuner and sign up on Sirius. The other car is stuck with Sirius.
